Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP) 3 Block Capability Building Training

Challenge Block

Challenge

The Galician Agency for Innovation (GAIN) identified a knowledge exchange and communication skills gap in their research community, which is essential for securing research grants and achieving impactful outcomes.

To address this challenge, GAIN initiated a three-month capacity-building programme focused on three key areas:

  • Knowledge exchange and commercialisation (KEC) fundamentals
  • Regulatory landscape and strategy to conduct business in Europe
  • Communicating research and engaging with stakeholders
  • Understanding the ecosystem, promoting collaboration, and creating impact
Oxentia Programme Support

Approach

We at Oxentia developed an online training program, divided into three blocks composed of several half-day modules:

Block 1: Commercialisation Fundamentals This block introduced the commercialisation process by identifying its main steps and challenges through case studies and delegates’ own projects.

Block 2: Communicating Research In this block, researchers were guided through practical exercises and examples on how to translate complex research findings into content that non-specialist audiences can understand.

Impact

Three Square Stats
The programme was delivered to 25 Early Career Researchers from Galicia in Spain.
Participants gained valuable skills to improve research outcomes.
The connections built through the programme contributed to valuable industry connections for participants.
